Welcome to Chingu ("Chingu", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Chingu website and services (the "Service"), an AI-powered Korean conversation practice tool. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Chingu provides AI-generated Korean conversation practice, including roleplay scenarios, corrections, translations, and voice features. The Service is an educational aid. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unnatural; it is provided "as is" and should not be treated as professional language instruction or certified translation.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
The free plan includes a limited number of messages per day. Chingu Pro is a paid subscription (currently US$9.99 per month) that removes those limits and unlocks additional features. Prices and features may change; material changes will be communicated in advance.
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase and handles payment processing, billing, applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), and receipts. Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the link in your Paddle receipt email or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to abuse, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent usage limits or payment requirements; (c) use the Service to generate harmful, harassing, or infringing content; or (d) resell or redistribute the Service without our permission. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
The Service, including its design, branding, and scenario content, is owned by us. You retain rights to the text you submit. You may use AI-generated outputs (such as your recap cards) for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing on social media.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI model providers (to generate responses) and Paddle (for payments). Your use of the Service is also subject to reasonable limitations of those providers, and outages of those providers may temporarily affect the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
